  but the main tldr is it’s simply not ready. There’s some things that need fixing before changing the model of the game.   I think Rematch could grow by going free to play and focusing on player identity. Things like club jerseys, team badges, goal anthems, crowd chants, exclusive tournament rewards, and signature celebrations from IRL players would give players more reasons to stay invested in the game, and add more customization

  First of all, thank you for all the work you have put into Rematch. The game looks very promising, and many players are excited about its release.
  
  I would like to ask if there are any plans, either now or in the future, to make the game free to play or to offer a free version. I have seen a lot of discussion within the community about this topic, and I was curious to know whether it is something your team has considered.
  
  I completely understand if there are no plans for this at the moment, but I would appreciate any information you are able to share.

  exactly just made the game for free bcs you anyways have paid items in game (microtransactions) so you can earn more money if the game gonna be free

  It's no secret Rematch has fallen off significantly. The beta test had about 160,000 peak players at once, and even launched with a peak of 93,000. Part of the reason Rematch was so popular originally is how unique it was when it came out and had virtually no competition. I saw a new football game somewhat like rematch with a free early access called Strikers Club, and decided to try it because it has even more players than Rematch. It is possibly one of the most lackluster football game I've ever seen, no offense to the team behind it. The gameplay is awful, the animations are awful, there are extremely limited features, and it runs terribly somehow on high graphics, yet it's currently more popular than Rematch. Obviously Rematch will probably never surge in players like it once did, but a large reason so many people don't play, is its price point. My entire group of friends played the beta test with me and absolutely loved it, but weren't willing to spend the amount of money the game
