Goalkeeper Reset Timer Rework
The current patch allows the keeper to hold the ball for 8 seconds on the first reset, where it used to be only 3 seconds. A lot of players use this to just reset the ball from wherever and start their set plays, which pushes us back to the same old boring game style in the competitive scene. The back pass to keeper should not be this strong where you can spam the ball in one direction and just stop worrying about it. The 3 second cooldown made the keeper at least think fast. Now it just kills the entire momentum of the game. That too, in a reduced match time of 5 minutes.
In my opinion, the less power you give the keeper on resets, the more room the game gets to grow in terms of creativity because if resetting to keeper is not a carefree option anymore, players will be forced to think and come up with new ideas, create interesting plays to get out of their own half, it would be more fun to play and watch. Hope this gets enough attention because I think nobody really notices it, but I suggest people to try it in a custom match at least, if you play with a rule to ban resetting to keeper, the game becomes more intense and fun.
To be clear, my suggestion is to make the keeper not pick up the ball in hands from back passes at all. If that's too extreme, at least revert the timer back to 3 seconds on back passes to keeper and keep 8 seconds for balls saved/intercepted from the opponent. This will discourage resetting to set plays and encourage more creative buildup and circulation.

BexI 100% agree. The original intention behind the GK backpass change was to avoid teams time wasting by constantly passing back to the keeper, but it has the opposite effect, at least in high elo.
Before, there was actually a reason to block the keeper when the other team backpassed, especially if they got a slow animation. Now, any team can cover the entire pitch by the time the keeper becomes vulnerable.
And as you say, if your team gets a pass blocked, you can just backpass to safety and get the full 8s again, killing all the momentum. This makes midfield play even more meaningless than before. It's all about resetting to GK then running to set positions.
Somewhere in the middle would be great, but ideally, ranked should have a 3-4 second invulnerability timer no matter if its a backpass or a dive save. This would also have the effect of punishing 4 defenders in the box as the team wouldnt have as much time to make space before the keeper needs to pass. -

RaajieIn IRL 5v5 there is a rule that exist where the keeper cannot hold the ball for more that 4-6 seconds. I think something like this should be implemented. This set play playstyle compresses the skill gap and punishes teams that want to play off of creativity and instinct.
