Lobby Presentation and Character Showcase Feedback

Hello Rematch Team,

I would like to suggest improvements to the lobby experience when inviting friends or other players.

When a player accepts a lobby invite, it would be great if they entered with a special lobby join animation based on their ranked tier, similar to PUBG-style lobby entrance effects. For example, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, or Elite players could have different visual entrance effects.

Right now, when friends join the lobby, only their icons appear in the top-right corner. I think this is not enough. It would feel much better if our friends’ actual characters appeared next to our own character in a live lobby scene. This would make the lobby feel more social, premium, and connected to player identity.

Each player could also have selectable lobby idle animations, such as holding a football, juggling the ball, stretching, warming up, or using a confident pose. These animations could loop while waiting in the lobby and be selected from the character customization menu.

Above each lobby character, useful information could be displayed: player name, level, ranked badge, and preferred position icon. Players could choose their preferred position in the profile section, such as goalkeeper, defender, midfielder, winger, or striker. These roles could have clear icons, like gloves for goalkeepers or a scorer icon for strikers.

I also think dance, celebration, and emote animations would fit Rematch very well. Players could use them in the lobby or during safe moments in matches to express themselves.

These features could also be connected to progression, events, challenges, the battle pass, or the store. Lobby poses, entrance animations, rank effects, and emotes would give players more cosmetic goals without affecting gameplay balance.

Overall, visible teammates, rank-based entrance effects, lobby poses, position icons, and emotes would make Rematch feel more alive, social, rewarding, and personal before the match even begins.
