2 EE bars + require 1 EE to do high volley
Split EE (Extra Effort) into 2 (maybe 3) bars, no extension, just split, so it still lasts the same amount of time when sprinting. However, this could open the door to requiring EE for other actions.
This would also allow for using 2/3 bursts off EE for dribbling.
You can also then start special dribbling moves that use EE but are highly effective
One of the actions that use EE could be the high volley, this could help adress:
- volleys arent interesting because it happens all the time
- crosses into the box being the spammed meta
- its rare to see a header instead of a high volley, so seeing more of htat would be nice

TahaConceptually all of this makes sense but you’re trying to solve problems by adding a feature when you can solve the problems directly without adding the feature and so what justifies the feature at its core?
Volleys can just simply cost stamina, special dribble moves can just cost stamina. None of this requires a rework of the EE system. Hell, you could even just treat EE like sprint currently is, and allow it to be done at the cost of stamina, but reduced by your current available stamina (so EE with more stamina is faster and lasts longer)
The developers know this concept so it wouldn’t surprised me if they implement solutions to what you describe similarly. But the most effective and powerful feedback comes from additions that are more conceptual and less baked into a new UI element or mechanic.
More things costing stamina is what I believe you’re getting at, cause if you could use stamina more flexibly as a balancing aid, you can leverage it more often.
