Better US servers
This is gonna be short and simple. I live in north east of the US and I play comp for tourneys and other comp setting gameplay which is set on central servers. All I’m asking for is better servers so I can at least have a consistent 70 ping instead of the 90 and above I am constantly getting. Thanks
Edit from Sloclap: merged another thread coming from a PNW player suffering from similar issues

I too have experienced the drastic increase in ping playing from west, which has made my match experience unplayably frustrating to the point where I’m thinking of quitting altogether until it’s addressed and fixed. The instability and errors that occur from the lag which are out of my control make the game for all of us west coast people literally want to uninstall. Please address this issue and make sure we don’t lose anymore players in the already niche rematch community. We love this game! Help us continue to enjoy it! -

Zvara MergedI live in the Pacific Northwest (Canada) but play the game competitively so I need to play on central servers.
I used to have 50 ping to central, it went up to around 60 ping a while ago and has tended to stay around the 60-65 ping range most of my time playing the game. Recently I have been getting 90 ping with it occasionally being at 60-70 but its stopped going down (depending on the lobby?) and is only sitting at 90 ping now as of the past few days. It has not gone back down to 60 ping at all and I am worried that what I thought was temporary problems with servers will be permanent.
I've had multiple other WC players mention not only higher ping to servers than is normal but also those who are lagging, stuttering, etc more trying to play on central servers as well when the ping should not be disproportionally higher. For example, queing into league of legends games consistently gives 60 ping for me as a WC player (could list other games too with similar numbers).
I have also not -

hurdleAs a fellow west player who lives in Canada, I used to get 48-71 ping on the us-central server, but now I consistently get 85-90 ping (depending on the day + amount of players in the lobby)
I play competitively as well meaning I have to play on central for tournaments, scrims, etc.
It's super frustrating having to compete on higher ping especially when I get much lower ping in other games that have central servers based out of Dallas (or any central location). For example, Rocket league, the previous game I competed in I would get a consistent 71 ping on their Dallas based central server (the same with other games I play, consistently lower ping)
Anyways, roughly in the summer/fall it started acting strange and for about 5-6 months I was using exitlag, which brought my ping back to around 68-71. After you guys switched to AWS exitlag now no longer has any affect meaning I'm now just stuck getting 90 ping. (Going to attach some ping evidence pics with old + recent examples) -

m!chI have filed similar complaints/feedbacks in the past on Discord. Since those threads are not accessible anymore, I am upvoting this and adding a comment to summarize my own experience.
I also live in US PNW and need to play on USCentral due to that being the server picked by the competitive/serious scene. My ping to USCentral used to be between 60-70ms before March, now it is consistently between 90-100ms. This seems to correlate with the recent server infrastructure moves. Currently my latency to USEast is actually better than the latency to USCentral, even though I am almost at the most western end of the continent. -

ZvaraWanted to update that it is slowly giving me higher ping each day with less and less of the occasional lobbies that are back to the 60 ping i was used to. Today I am averaging 92 ping. Yesterday I had 1 single game of 60 ping and all others were around 88-90 ping. It doesnt make much sense to me but there is a possibility of having a more normal ping and I am just confused as to how its possible but slowly deteriorating. Hopefully this info can help troubleshoot what might be wrong.
Other update is I am 44 ping to games like league of legends, not 60 like in my original post (my mistake i checked again today).
I am also PNW (US) not PNW (Canada).
Lastly, I have fiber connection and I am wired in with ethernet. -

MintI am in US West in NV I used to get around 15-20 ping on West and 40-50 on central now I get around 40-50 on West and 60-80 on central. Since I play competitive I am usually on central but its almost become unplayable.

hurdlea perfect example of how this negatively impacts me at the worst time. I'm in the middle of playing MRC qualifier 3, my team (Shine) are tied for 7th (top 8 is auto qualification for the major) and randomly my ping is even higher than normal today
normally the server selection screen shows I'll get 71-74 ping but it gives me 88 in game, today its showing me I'll get 91 in game yet I'm actually getting 96
this is one of the biggest tournaments I've played in rematch thus far because of it being the last normal qualifier before LCQ yet my already abnormally high ping is now even higher when it matters most :( -

Zvarai am permanently above 90 ping now. unsure what to do about wanting to play the game competitively. is there an ETA on when the server problems will be fixed or at the very least started to be investigated? would love at least some clarity around it so i can decide if its worth investing more time on competing or not. being forced to enter tournaments on central servers is something we could bring up to the comp scene but realistically its not gonna change any time soon, having some info about it from devs / sloclap would be helpful!
if there is any info i can give to help with troubleshooting why the servers arent stable i am happy to help! for example, in customs games the less people in the custom the less ping i have. if i am in a custom game solo it might be around 87-88 ping but in a full 10 stack it is always 91-93ish ping. like i mentioned in a previous post there was 1 single game out of a week that i did get 60 ping on a central server which might help you as well.
thanks! -

Tarutus <3I live in central and out of all the servers it def runs the best but I feel terrible for west and especially east servers bc they either have to play central with higher ping or play the rubber band fest that is the other two US server options, it would def be a huge improvement to the game to improve the server quality at least for the east people

NomdomsI live in the Pacific Northwest (Oregon) and I also play the game competitively on one of the top teams right now known as ASTRA NA.
I've been also experiencing very similar issues with ping, if not on a much higher scale than some of the other posters. Before the server change, I used to get around 50-60 ping on central but now, whenever I get into a central server thats bad for me, I get 110 ping to 140 ping. I've played with EU comp players before on central and I sometimes even tie them having the same amount of ping when on central.
Playing on high ping is awful for this game due to a lot of the decision making being very fast-paced. Knowing when to dribble the correct way in response to how a defender is positioning themselves, as well as having to heavily predict the path of your teammates is extremely challenging when on high ping and basically requires guessing rather than actual skillful decision making.
Playing the game in this state is just unfun, pls change servers. -

m!chHas the team been made aware of this issue and acknowledged it? Are we certain that the underlying server region is actually USCentral and not Central America?
I reside in the Pacific Northwest (USA), pretty much on the most western edge of the North America continent. My ping on the USCentral servers, the region where all the serious players and competitions occur, has gotten even worse in the last two weeks. Before the start of May, my ping fluctuated between 85-95ms. This last week it rose to 95-105ms, and now today it has risen again to 105-115ms. As this latency increases, I have noticed more of my tackles or ball touches being rolled back by the netcode
Comparatively, my ping on the USEast has been steadily at 70-80ms. Prior to the switch of game server providers in March, my ping on that USCentral region was between 60-70ms. Outside of this game, I have never experienced latency > 80ms when the server is actually hosted in the US.
