Goalkeeper Diving Rework (Magnus shooting but for goalkeeper dives)
Currently goalkeepers just have to press one button + a direction to dive and sometimes the animations that you want are not what actually happens on the field (ex: you want to go for a low dive but you get the animation of a high dive). I feel that a more complex system should be implemented for the goalkeeper dives so they can actually get the direction and animation that they want.
Just like a striker's shot, the dive can be controlled similarly like adding curve to the shot. Pressing defensive stance as a keeper locks your camera to the ball and instead of a button to dive you can use your right stick/mouse to control the dive direction that you intend to go to (by moving your right stick or mouse to the intended direction). This system is similar to that of FIFA/FC but since Rematch has free camera movement the locked camera will help keepers keep track of the ball.
Personally, I think that there should be more skill expression for goalkeepers instead of just pressing one button + a direction. This would definitely bring more enjoyment for the people who enjoy the goalkeeping position and raise the skill ceiling for them. And for new players and old players alike, it would definitely be a more intuitive to control.

I feel like I’m experienced enough to say that 99.99% of goalies would be hurt more by the ability to control their dives height. I also see 99% of comp goalies getting worse because we already have ~200 ms to react to most shots. Judging a shots height in that time frame will genuinely be impossible more often than not. The general player-base would suffer insanely from this. Sloclap should just fix their dives.
Even in fifa the game controls the dive for you and you have 3x the time
to react. -

DanielI absolutely agree with your comment, goalies will definitely become worse with the ability to control the height of their dives. I've had some thinking, and probably an additional control scheme would probably be the better compromise. Instead of a button press, a swipe of the camera left or right like what I have outlined in my suggestion but without the ability to control the height, just left or right swipes.
Sometimes when I press the button to dive it doesn't register the direction I want it to go, instead I jump up in place like a stupid person, and thats just frustrating. This control scheme could be added instead of completely replacing the button diving, as I know some people would prefer the button diving instead of swiping.
