Starting Positions
Create a “press X button to become GK” button UI that would show during celebrations and importantly at the beginning of every match. Whoever presses the button first spawns in the net as GK.

Allow grouped teams to set a specific order for GK rotation. Similar to batting order in baseball. -

The actual number of ingame players make this difficult, because some queue time risk to become to long, but in a complete competitive game i want to see this feature. -

pocketjoeIn my opinion the only actual position that this should be for is goalkeeper, because this game is ultimately about fluid positioning.
Essentially make it so the starting goalkeeper rotates through people who have selected "Goalkeeper" in some UI box, but rotates through everyone as normal if no one has selected it. -

dotdotokI'm mixed on this. I feel like the idea of "specialization"/roles is a bit at odds with the spirit of the game (football with total fluidity, no bounds, penalties, or offsides).
And I think you could be missing out on good options if you aren't willing to rotate in-to/out-of goal in the middle of a point:
A) Did you just sprint/EE down field to help defend, leaving your character with an asthma attack? Take over the box while your gloriously full-stamina ex-sweeper outruns the similarly-tired opponents
B) Is the enemy with the ball staring your goalie down on the opposite side of the box as you? Instead of wasting time/stamina sprinting across the field yourself, tell your goalie he's good to charge over the line to contest, while you're ready to recover if he loses the 1v1 or the opponent takes a wild shot -

NinjerOpting in and out of being a GK is fine. But 'who presses a button first ' is dumb imo. Designated keepers in this game are annoying. Constantly begging to go in. I want to do my turn in the goal and then go play out of the goal without having to battle for the chance to play keeper.

DustinThey could do it kind of like league of legends do it have people select a role from the main menu then when you start searching for games it puts you with people of different roles kinda like how you select tank dps or support. it could be goalkeeper and two strikers for 3v3.. then 5v5 you would have goal keeper, defender, midfielder, and forward/ striker

BarbaNeagraIt would be cool if you had a checkbox when selecting to queue in a game mode to be a keeper, and you would spawn as a keeper everytime if there is nobody else on your team with that box checked ... if there are more people with it checked, you would rotate them as keepers ... maybe have a toggle when pausing the game mid match in case you change your mind or forgot to switch it.

Zemel Rematch MergedFix first keeper choice, randomise this why do you get punished being first or second keeper if you have fast connection? It gets so tiring that you dont want to play anymore or when you play you just let goals through so you are not stuck just being keeper every game
